THE ARTIST
A professor once told me I wasn’t creative enough.
I believed her. For years I put the brushes down and got on with the business of a life, the kind that fills up quickly and leaves no room for paint. I found my way back in my twenties, briefly. Then life took over again.
Now, in my forties, I paint with more clarity and joy than I ever had at twenty. It turns out she was wrong. It just took me half a lifetime to stop taking her word for it.
Two islands
I work between the Bahamas and Jamaica, and the paintings know the difference.
Jamaica is where the green comes from — dense, layered, unruly. The Bahamas gives me the light and the softness at the edges of a sky. Bold tropical leaves, soft island skies. A love letter to nature and to rediscovery, painted from both places at once.
Every canvas is a small argument that it is never too late.

How I work
01
Every piece is made by hand, in layers
Acrylic on canvas or oil pastel on paper, built up over days so the colour has depth rather than flatness. Nothing is printed, nothing is reproduced.
02
Signed, numbered, sealed
Each original leaves the studio with a certificate of authenticity, hand-signed and sealed — so its provenance travels with it.
03
One of one
When a piece is sold it moves to the archive and is never repainted. The collection stays finite on purpose.
