Otaheite Glow (2025)

My daughter Sophia is obsessed with Otaheite apples. If you've never had one, they're one of the most fragrant fruits in the Caribbean, deep red and purple on the outside, with a bright white centre that's almost startling. She'd eat them every day if she could.

I painted this for her, really. The yellow background wasn't planned, it just made sense the moment I tried it. That contrast is exactly what the fruit deserves.
